Sustainability

Sprig Electric is committed to environmental sustainability. We are a USGBC member and encourage training by offering classes on LEED and other sustainable design practices. Our LEED Engineers, Project Managers and Executives have applied their LEED professional accreditation on numerous projects. We install solar systems and cutting edge lighting technologies that significantly reduce our client’s energy usage. We utilize LEAN practices in our Prefab facility and our jobsite whenever possible to minimize waste and recycle the rest.

Sustainability is very important in the Sprig culture. The Green Committee was formed to provide leadership by establishing green business practices and thereby obtaining Santa Clara County’s Green Business Certification. Sprig has maintained the certification since 2009. Some initiatives taken include upgrading to energy efficient lighting and controls, installing low flow toilets, encouraging double-sided paper and offering trainings on green practices. The Green Committee continues to educate and encourage people to take personal responsibility for their environmental impact and ultimately, make a difference for future generations.
